Cleaning
InPro
Technologies represents a line of industrial surface
cleaning equipment manufactured by SDI, Inc.
www.sdi.com.
SDIs MicroKlean machines provide an unequaled
method for continuous contact cleaning of various
substrates. Specially formulated polymer rollers lift
contaminants as small as 1 micron from the substrate and
transfer them to adhesive rolls. |
When the adhesive roll
becomes laden with contaminate, simply strip the outer
layer, exposing a new clean surface of adhesive. No
special handling, chemicals or wipes are needed.
Anti-static bars neutralize the substrate as it exits
the cleaner to prevent re-contamination. Both single and
double-sided cleaners are available in various
configurations to clean a wide variety of different
substrates. |

Web
Standard web cleaners are
available in 12, 16, 20, 24, 36 and 39 cleaning
widths. Custom sizes are also available. A wide web
cleaner is available for cleaning widths greater than
45. Driven by the web, these cleaners are effective at
speeds up to 1000 fpm. Versatile mounting configurations
are available and the MKNW cleaner features a clamshell
design to facilitate easy web threading. These cleaners
are used in several in-line web processes, including:
coating, converting, flexographic printing, label
printing, holographics, and packaging.

Sheet Standard cleaners are
available in 24, 30 and 60 widths. Cleaners can be
equipped with idle or driven infeed and outfeed
conveyors, at speeds up to 100 fpm. Both horizontal and
vertical configurations are available, depending on your
space constraints. An optional delay contact is offered
to prevent peeling of any protective layer on the
substrate. These cleaners are designed to clean wide
range of materials:
- Rigid panels from 10
mil to 1-inch thick, including polyester, PVC,
polycarbonate, styrene, foam board, acrylic and
others.
- Metal or glass
plates.
- Caul plates as heavy
as 300 lbs.
- Thin films, as thin
as 25 micron, such as Kapton, Mylar and flex circuit
materials.
Applications include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning copper prior to application of photo resist
Cleaning panels before application of solder mask
Cleaning substrates prior to screen printing or dry
film laminating
Cleaning substrates prior to an auto exposure
machine.

Dust Removal The DRS hand held
cleaners will clean almost any flat surface quickly and
efficiently. Simply roll the DRS hand roller over the
flat surface to be cleaned. The rollers tacky polymer
coating will lift dust, chips, and microscopic
particulates from the substrate without using any
liquids or sprays. Next, clean the dirty roller by
passing it directly onto the adhesive pad. You now have
a clean hand roller ready for the next work-piece. DRS
hand held cleaners are available in 6, 12 and 18
widths with a variety of ergonomic handle designs.
Three tack levels are available on the DRS system:
Blue High tack for
use on rigid substrates such as copper panels.
Red Medium tack
for cleaning artwork, thin materials, flexible circuits,
and glass or plexi-glass.
Black Low tack for cleaning very thin materials
such as release films, delicate die cut flex circuits or
as a substitute for a squeegee during vacuum draw downs. |
